The philosophy

Start Tiny.
Start Badly.
Start Anyway.

No 10-day transformations. No fixing everything. Just a gentle shove towards the bit of you that keeps getting put last.

I'm ready to start. Sort of.

Why this exists

I think I disappeared a little.

Not dramatically.

Just quietly, slowly, imperceptibly.

Did you disappear a little too?

The Start Society is for:

For those who have, without detection, quietly buried themselves.
For the hands that loved to make things.
For the voices that used to sing.
For the dancer, the poet, the one who forgot.

This is for you.

How it works

Three steps. That's genuinely it.

01

You subscribe

$16/month. Cancel anytime. No guilt. Your details, your address, that's it. Takes about 90 seconds.

02

I pack it by hand

Suz creates the ZINE, all handmade. Prints and posts to you.

03

It arrives in your letterbox

Your actual physical letterbox. Not your inbox. Not your notifications. Your letterbox. Monthly. Real. Yours.

Inside every edition

What's in the envelope.

Every month, a small envelope arrives in your empty letterbox. Something to open and hold. A reason to keep talking to yourself.

01

A Zine made by Suz

Complete with her letter. Handmade, honest, slightly chaotic. No performance, no pretending, no highlight reel.

02

Monthly "dare"

A single, specific, astonishingly achievable act. Offensively small. The kind where you think — this doesn't count. It does.

03

Society Submissions

Submissions sent in by other society members with stories of their own creative journey

04

Lil Extra and QR Codes

A poem, a recipe, or a written passage to expand and extend. Something to read slowly, and ponder for the month.

QR Code to scan and watch this months selection of vids, chosen by Suzannah

Everything fits in a standard AusPost envelope. Nothing is overwhelming. Nothing says "here is a project". Everything says: you've got this.
